Sometimes called a Tod or a Reynard, foxes can be seen as cunning and wiley in British folklore. Stories of them tricking wolves and other animals through using their intellect and reasoning skills exists. The fox has long been considered a threat to others and like the wolf, can be seen as a determined predator when in fact foxes are typically very timid.
